The architects had no plans to work off but based on old photos of the building and discussions with older club members who remembered what it was like and after studying similar style buildings elsewhere in the country the architects were able to come up with a fairly accurate reproduction.

The new building was divided into two, the public hall and the Sultan Sulaiman club.
